About This Tour
Sosúa Bay is one of the North Coast's established snorkeling areas because its curved shoreline gives access to multiple reef sites close to the beach. After the transfer from Puerto Plata, guests check in with the boat team, receive equipment and listen to a briefing covering mask fit, breathing technique, flotation and reef etiquette. Beginners can ask for extra help before entering deeper water.
The boat normally visits two reef locations selected according to visibility, wind and group ability. In the water, the guide keeps the group together while guests look for tropical fish and coral formations. Wildlife sightings are natural and cannot be guaranteed, but using more than one reef increases variety and keeps the experience interesting even when conditions differ between sites.
After snorkeling, guests return to the beach area for free time to swim, relax or purchase food and drinks. The balance of boat time and beach time makes this a flexible choice for mixed groups where some guests want to snorkel and others simply want a coastal day.

Itinerary
Pickup
Meet in Puerto Plata and transfer east toward Sosúa Bay.
Boat check-in
Receive snorkeling equipment and review basic water-safety and reef rules.
First reef
Boat to the first shallow reef and enter the water with the guide.
Second reef
Move to a second location chosen for visibility and conditions, then snorkel again.
Beach time
Return to Sosúa Beach for swimming, relaxing and optional food or drink purchases.
Return transfer
Drive back to the hotel or cruise port with timing adjusted for cruise guests.
