About This Tour

The ATV adventure is designed for guests who want to see a rougher, more rural side of Puerto Plata. Pickup is followed by a transfer to the operating base, where drivers are assigned a vehicle, fitted with safety equipment and shown the controls. The guide leads a short practice before the group moves onto the off-road route, allowing first-time riders to become comfortable with steering, braking and spacing.

The landscape can include packed dirt, riverbeds, farm roads, small communities and sections that become muddy after rain. That means no two departures feel exactly the same. The pace is guided rather than free-riding: participants follow the lead vehicle, maintain distance and stop when the guide signals. Shared ATVs allow one driver and one passenger when the vehicle and booking category permit it.

This tour should be marketed as a get-dirty experience. Guests are more comfortable when they arrive expecting dust, splashes and uneven terrain. Exact stops - such as a river, countryside tasting point or brief beach break - should only be advertised when they are confirmed for your supplier's route that day.
