About This Tour

After pickup, guests travel to the ranch or adventure property used for the day's ride. Staff introduce the horses, review mounting and steering basics, and match each rider to an animal suited to their comfort level. The first minutes are intentionally slow so the group can practice stopping, turning and maintaining space before entering the trail.

The ride follows a guided route through the Puerto Plata countryside. Depending on the ranch, that can include pasture, farm paths, village edges, tree-lined tracks or viewpoints toward the coast and mountains. The pace is controlled by the guide and usually centers on walking, with faster riding only when the operator considers it appropriate for the group.

Beach riding is sometimes marketed separately in Puerto Plata and should not be promised unless the confirmed ranch uses a beach route that day. This standalone description is therefore centered on the dependable countryside experience. It can be paired with a city tour, monkey encounter or zipline as a separate combination product.
